Thrills and Chills Set for Area Halloween Happenings!

Ghosts, goblins and ghouls — the hallmark of Halloween spookiness — are sure to make their appearance this weekend as we celebrate the scariest time of the year. However you typically usher in the otherworldly hours of All Hallows Eve, we’ve selected a few unique events to add to your fun. Happy haunting!

All Hallows Eve Movie and Party in the Garden: This Friday, Oct. 30, The Baker House is hosting a showing of the 1963 Robert Wise classic, “The Haunting” from 7-9 p.m. The socially distanced event takes place in the garden, with fire pits blazing and the bar open.

Pumpkin Drop:  Why not spend Halloween soaring through the trees at Lake Geneva Zipline & Adventures? The best part of racing down the zipline is aiming a pumpkin for the center of the bullseye painted on the ground below. Talk about Halloween thrills!

Williams Bay Halloween Car Parade: This Saturday, deck out your car and your family in their Halloween best and line up for a spooktacular parade through the Bay. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated car and best family costumes.

Lake Geneva Ghost Walk: Gather in Seminary Park at 7:30 p.m. on Halloween and discover real ghost stories, paranormal experiences, Native American legends and more! The 1.5- mile walking tour spans 1 ½ – 2 hours and takes you through downtown Lake Geneva. The number of people in each tour group is limited and masks are required. Book tickets online.

Dan Patch Stables Haunted Hayride: Take a ride through the woods where the monsters live and prepared to be scared! First rides of the night are family-friendly for younger children; regular rides begin at 7 p.m. and ramp up the spookiness. Only 15-20 people per wagon and masks are required.

Witchful Thinking: Take a short drive to Fort Atkinson and the Fireside Theatre and enjoy the brand-new show “Witchful Thinking,” a family-friendly production showcasing evil characters like Cruella DeVil and Captain Hook, who are all vying for the title of Villain of the Year! Limited seating is available to allow for social distancing.

Have fun and be safe!
