Keefe Kares honors Twin Oaks Shelter on September 28th at its 4th Annual Celebration for exemplary Service to the Community.

For the past three years, Keefe Kares, the charitable branch of Keefe Real Estate, has held an Annual Celebration to help raise funds for the various nonprofit organizations supported by the foundation. This year, the Celebration will be held on Friday, September 28th from 5:30pm-8:30pm at the Walworth County Fairgrounds Activity Center. The event will feature a pig roast with fresh sweet corn, live music by blues musician Glenn Davis, beer and wine, as well as raffles, silent and live auction items.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.keefekares.com.

According to Keefe’s President & CEO, Tom Keefe, “Our goal with the Celebration is to raise funds for local organizations and drive awareness to the invaluable work they provide our community.”

Keefe Kares is a 501c3 foundation which has distributed over $170,000 to more than twenty-five local charities in just the past 3 years.  Money raised by the Foundation for Keefe Kares comes from several sources; nearly 70 percent of the donations come from individual agents and staff, many of whom have contributions auto-deducted from every commission or paycheck throughout the year. Their financial contributions are further matched by Keefe Real Estate.

Each year at the Keefe Kares Celebration, a “spotlight organization” is chosen and receives the proceeds from a specific auctioned item at the Celebration. This year, the spotlight organization will be the Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless.

Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless, is Walworth County’s only 24/7 homeless shelter for families and has been serving our community for 26 years. Beyond simply a place to stay, Twin Oaks provides a professional case manager who works one-on-one with residents to resolve their crisis, find stable housing and employment.
