Chelsea and Joe grew up together playing junior golf at Bloomington (Illinois) Country Club, but their paths didn’t cross again until years and dozens of rounds later — she played in college, he was playing in regional amateur events. But both reluctantly agreed to participate in a golf outing near their hometown and it’s after this chance meeting (and a victory by Chelsea’s group), the couple rekindled their friendship that revealed their longstanding mutual love of the game.
As planning for their wedding got underway, Geneva National, with its championship courses, was the perfect setting for their golf-themed celebration. Creative touches like golf tees in the guy’s boutonnieres, an archway formed with golf clubs and table centerpieces featuring flags from popular PGA events guaranteed this would be a day that even non-golfers would remember for years to come.
