A Century of Water Safety and Education

The Geneva Lake Water Safety Patrol will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and as part of the events surrounding this milestone, the organization will release a book chronicling the first century of this local institution. The Book Committee is currently seeking financial donations toward the completion of this project. Anyone interested in donating should visit the Water Safety Patrol website at watersafetypatrol.org or call 262-245-6577.

As part of the book project, the Water Safety Patrol is collecting historic photos of the organization for possible publication in the book, and is particularly in need of photos from 1920-1960. The committee is happy to send a representative to collect the photos, scan them, and return them.

Anyone with photos is encouraged to contact Victoria McHugh Photography at 262-203-1517. Alternatively, for the tech savvy, high-res image scans can be emailed to [email protected]. Please submit your photos by February 1, 2018.

Water Safety Patrol centennial books will be available for sale to the public beginning during the holiday season of 2019. In the coming months, look for more information about a reunion for former Patrollers.
