30+ Things to Do with Your Kids this Summer in the Lake Geneva Area

The Lake Geneva area has always been a popular getaway for people of all ages, and today it has a plethora of bucket-list-worthy activities for families, no matter what your kids’ ages or interests. Check out our list below and start planning your summer fun!

Fun For All

  • Movies in the Park at Delavan’s Phoenix Park
  • Mini golf at Paradise Golf Park in Lake Geneva
  • Take a train ride at the East Troy Railroad Museum
  • See the wildlife at Safari Lake Geneva
  • Take a trip back in time at Old World Wisconsin in Eagle
  • Visit a local farmers’ market

Water Fun

  • Head to the beach: there are several on Geneva Lake!
  • Catch a flick at Movies on the Beach at Fontana Beach
  • Swim the day away at Sunset Pool in Elkhorn
  • Play in the creek at Samuel Donian Wetland Nature Preserve in Lake Geneva

Free Activities

  • Play at a local park – bring a picnic for added fun (Pro tip: we love the Fontana Little Foot Playground, and it’s not too far from the lakefront!)
  • Take a nature hike
  • Visit the local library
  • Find a Little Free Library – take a book, leave a book!
  • Take a walk along the Geneva Lake Shore Path — make sure to grab a copy of our official Shore Path guide, fully updated in 2023 with tips, maps and points of interest!
  • Watch a water ski show
  • Play at Pearce’s Farm Stand (Pro tip: the play area is free…but make sure to stop into the farm stand for sweet treats and locally grown products!)

For Rainy Days

  • Play the old-school games at Vintage Vault Arcade in Mukwonago (Pro tip: this place is great for older kids…but bring a portable step stool if you have little ones who want to play!)
  • Be amazed at the Dancing Horses Show in Delavan
  • See a movie at Emagine Theater in Lake Geneva
  • Play at the incredible indoor park at Lakeland Park
  • Go roller skating at Traxside Skating in nearby Burlington
  • Go bowling (Pro tip: sign up for ‘Kids Bowl Free’ to get free bowling this summer!)
  • Jump the day away at Intents Inflatables in Burlington
  • Stop by for open play at the new Spark Creative Studio in Elkhorn
  • Visit the Geneva Lake Museum in Lake Geneva
  • Go rock wall climbing at The Loop in Burlington
  • Watch the magic happen at Tristan Crist Magic Theatre
  • Make a candle at The Candle Mercantile (Pro tip: we’d recommend this one for older kids only)
  • Check out Board & Brush in Lake Geneva for their kids’ workshops
