Getting Married at the Lake

Last summer saw some extremely opulent and elaborate weddings at the lake… proof that big celebrations are back in a big way! This year, for Getting Married at the Lake, our 14th annual special advertising section wedding guide, we previewed dozens of local weddings submitted by our partner photographers — Kristina Lorraine Photography, Anna Urban Photography, Matt Mason Photography and Ideal Impressions Photography — to find a handful of truly spectacular events to share with you.

You’ll meet three couples who chose the Lake Geneva area for their 2023 nuptials, and learn about their connections to the lake, as well as their journeys together and the decisions they made for their big day. All three couples used the area’s natural beauty as a jumping-off point for planning their ceremonies and receptions, with breathtaking water views very much at the heart of all of their celebrations.

For anyone just starting to plan a wedding, our Real Wedding couples provide plenty of ideas and vendor suggestions that will be enormously helpful. For even more inspiration, check out our guide to incorporating personalizations, kids and pets into your special day. Then, brush up on your flower arrangement knowledge in our bouquet guide, and learn the latest trends in food and drink for the reception. The wedding of your dreams awaits!
