Page Turners To Keep You Up Late

If you need a bit of escapism — who doesn’t — you’ll want to dive into Lake Geneva Public Library’s November book recommendations. Library Director Emily Kornak has selected three suspenseful thrillers that she warns will keep readers engrossed for hours. If you’re a fan of curling up with a book before you go to sleep, you may lose a few zzz’s but it will be worth it!

“The Guest List” by Lucy Foley

For fans of mysteries, especially British/Irish titles, and Agatha Christie — plus non-mystery readers, this book may get you hooked on the genre. As a bonus, the library book club will be reading this title this month, so feel free to request a copy and join the November discussion!

“The Last Flight” by Julie Clark

Another up-too-late-reading pick, this thriller tells the story of two women trying to escape their lives. Hoping to give one another a head start, they spontaneously swap airline tickets and when one of the flights crashes, plans start taking unexpected turns. This is a great book for readers who like lots of plot twists.

“Final Cut” by S.J. Watson

Back to Europe (England) and a small town — formerly a thriving seaside destination — and a filmmaker investigating the disappearances of local teens. For those who find unreliable narrators (and more plot twists!) compelling.
