When they were dating, Nick loved to surprise Cortney with adventures to new places and road trips to Lake Geneva soon became one of their favorite getaways. Fun times spent walking by the lake, exploring downtown shops, relaxing on a Lake Geneva Cruise Line tour, dining at Gino’s East or enjoying a glass of wine while wearing silly hats at The Baker House, nurtured their love for the area and each other. When Nick decided to propose, he chose an October day in 2018 at the Samuel Donian Wetland Preserve in the heart of the city, and the couple was married at The Ridge Hotel on a perfect June day 20 months later. Their outdoor ceremony, under an arbor adorned with an exquisite floral swag and overlooking the surrounding countryside, perfectly captured the beauty of the lakes area the couple had discovered years before.
